Pete was born in Salzburg, Austria and moved at an early age with his parents to America where he went to school and on to University in Washington D. C.
While there he learnt to play the piano. After University he was on the move once again to Seatle but finding the music scene there somewhat isolated he came to London to pursue his dream of success in the music business.
Being such an accomplished musician he immediately found his niche in the studio session scene and also joined a band called ‘Daddy Long Legs.
On one of those sessions for Polydor records he played on a song called ‘Sugar Baby Love’ that was eventually to give him stardom with the Rubettes.
Pete left the Rubettes in 1974 after just six months preferring the studio session scene.
He now lives and teaches Music in Switzerland.
